Their call is to be truly missionary: they are to go from place to place, announcing the word of God, reconciling, cathechizing, visiting the sick and the imprisoned, and doing the works of mercy. They attend especially to the most neglected, the poor and those who suffer injustice. (Constitutions of theSociety of Mary, # 12)

MMR runs various ministries to serve those who are in need in Ranong, especially Burmese migrants.

Pastoral Care

Ranong belongs to the Diocese of Surat Thani, which covers an area of 76,562 square kilometers. Among the 9 million Thai living in this territory, there are only 7,000 Catholics. There are also very few Catholics among the migrant workers in Ranong.

We aim to assist the few Catholics that are here in the growth of their faith.  Alongside the parish Thai-language Masses, we offer a regular Sunday Mass in Burmese, as well as any other religious services that may be requested.
